A Taste of Honey



a taste of honey is always sweet is not it? There are lots of honey flavor and surprisingly can vary enormously in taste, color and texture.

Buckwheat honey is strong and dark, both in color and flavor, it is quite an acquired taste this one! It can be very dark brown, but it is remarkable to relieve sore throat and vocal chords keeping in great condition.

Mexican honey depends a great contrast of dark amber almost white due to the vast array of healing herbs known for centuries old Maya tribes. They use a taste of honey for the treatment of many diseases, believing as strongly as they do in the power of natural remedies.

Basswood honey is unique because of its pale green color. This honey is often called Lime honey. Many med Experts refer to this as almost a taste of honey tasting fresh green apples. Clean and refreshing with a hint of mint.

Star Thistle honey consists of nectar hardy weeds! He is said to be the most favorite tastes of honey throughout the USA. Very impressive considering there are so many flavors to choose from, more than three hundred at last count. Many are called "Champagne" Honey, however, our taste buds do not differ and it is a matter of personal choice.

strawberry honey , now you would think that judging by the name, it would taste sweet ripe strawberries. You would be wrong, because it is the honey from the nectar of flowers, which carry more than death is reminiscent of strawberries, but it's actually quite bitter and smoky!

acacia honey is sometimes referred to as black locust honey sounds very distasteful, however, was delicious and almost identical to acacia honey. It sounds more palatable, but eat it with a bandage over his eyes, and you would be hard to distinguish the two. Beautifully pale and perfect for dipping a piece of honeycomb.

Tree honeys such as eucalyptus are very strong, almost medicinal wines. Chestnut one of the best tasting of all the Species of honey is special because the nectar is collected from both the flower and SAP pine nectar collected mainly from the tree sap. Pine Tree Honey is great when you are suffering from a cold that plagues most of us from time to time.

Dandelion honey , sold in a good organic food stores. Not that you would use honey on toast, but more in the tea. When you open the jar almost smells like cheese, but this honey flavor is light and creamy.

coriander honey , coriander (cilantro otherwise known as your Tex-Mex fans) is a delightful flavor and a favorite herb. It is quite creamy yellow honey, but with an odd taste, almost tastes like grass! Malo acquired taste, but is considered suitable for production of honey mustard salad dressing, and perhaps in some recipes for meat and vegetables. This is not an ideal desert honey.
